Hunting 
Idaho hunting is some of the best around! 20.4 million acres of the state is National Forrest, which is approximately 40%. There’s more than enough room for every type of hunter. The biggest portion of the hunters in the northern portion of the state are going after the big game animals (deer, elk, moose, bear, and more). There’s also a season for birds and waterfowl. Idaho offers a season for 3 types of weapons – bow, rifle, and muzzle loader. Each season, unit and weapon have different rules, regulations, and dates. Fishing
Fishing in North Idaho is a year round hobby, with a plethora great places to fish in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. Not to mention, it’s a great family activity. Lake Coeur d’Alene is known for its kokanee & chinook salmon and bass tournaments are held on the lake. Another large lake in the area with great fishing is Lake Pend Oreille. Trout, bass and lake whitefish are in abundance there. Areas which allow fishing year round are Kootenai River, Pend Oreille River, Priest River, and Clark Fork River, just to name a few.

Camping
Ahhhh! Nothing quite matches the relaxation that camping brings. Whether you’ve got a trailer or a tent, or if you camp at a campground or rough it in the woods.
